Pegboard is one of the most commonly used materials for storing tools and accessories in garages. It usually hangs on a wall in one way or another, but we took a different approach with this free-standing rack. It's perfect if your walls are already filled up or if you prefer movable storage options.
The project consists of four "winged panels" made out of pegboard, which are secured to a sturdy base in an "X" shape. This provides 53 square feet of hanging storage space for less than 9 square feet of floor space. Plus, the rack is on casters, so you can easily move it around as needed.
