This one-of-a-kind creation hearkens back to Victorian times when decorative ceiling treatments were the rage. We found this 24" x 24" tin ceiling tile at a local salvage store, but authentic vintage tiles are easy to find online, as well.
To transform a tile into a unique timepiece, purchase clock hands in a size and style that will look good on your tile. You'll also need a quartz clock movement; be sure it has a high-torque motor if it needs to operate oversized hands. Putting the pieces together only takes a few minutes — we'll show you how it's done in this week's eNote.
