Pairing a floral arrangement with a fun vase filler is a great way to give it personality and a more substantial look — especially if the vase you're using is clear. The fresh bouquet shown here is lovely on its own, but it's the citrus fruit that gives the centerpiece its eye-catching summertime style.
Of course, you wouldn't want to tuck the stems among the fruit and submerge it all in water. So, simply place a narrow vase within the large vase to create separate areas for the filler (around the sides) and the flowers (in the center). Since this minimizes the amount of filler needed, it's a good idea even if you're using faux flowers.
