This bathroom had a new counter, lighting, tile, and faucet, but the plain slab mirror just seemed out of place.
Style Switch. Instead of replacing the mirror, we created a basic frame. To do this in your home, all you need are poplar 1x4s and two-sided automotive tape.
First, we measured the mirror and cut boards to length. After softening the edges of the frame pieces with sandpaper, we stained them. Then we applied strips of automotive tape to the boards, and stuck them to the mirror.
When it was complete, the newly framed mirror had the look of an expensive new piece. You can customize your own mirror by using decorative molding instead, or by applying paint or stain that coordinates with your room.
