DIY projects are even better when they give you dual-purpose results. This modern metallic door decor will look great no matter which side you view it from.
Pretty & Practical. Inside, the decor features fun faux flowers. Outside, the piece is painted to match the door frame, and shows off the house numbers.
The base of the project is a piece of painted hardboard with some metal mesh attached to the interior side. To secure the metal mesh, we drilled holes through the hardboard and added a bolt, two washers (one on each side), and a nut as shown in the photo at left.
You'll notice that the exterior side of the decor is painted white to match the door. We attached a set of stylish house numbers with hot-melt glue.
We secured a few faux flowers to the metal mesh on this side with hot-melt glue. These faux daisies, along with the bright green paint we chose for this side of the decor, make a cheerful statement.
When we were done with the decor, we just attached it to the inside of the door. You’ll be amazed by the difference that this simple project can make!
