When you can’t find the perfect affordable art piece to complement your decor, try making your own. That’s exactly what we did for this crisp, floral-inspired space!
Solved with Stencils. We bought a stencil set with an elegant floral motif. Instead of applying the design to the wall, we used it on canvases from the art supply store.
You can paint your canvas with a base color, or leave it white like we did with ours. Then tape the stencil to the canvas with painter’s tape.
Use a sponge to dab coats of the accent color into the spaces. You may want to test the sponge-painting technique on paper first to ensure that you’ll get the look you want.
When the piece is dry, you’re ready to hang it on the wall. The finished art will perfectly complement the colors of your space.
