This nightstand (before photo, left) had a great style, but its finish didn’t match the room where we wanted to use it.
Style Switch. Since the piece was in good shape, it was a perfect candidate for a paint transformation. We started by picking two bright paint colors.
To get ready to paint, we scuffed the table’s surface with sandpaper. We used painter's tape to mask off the hardware and areas we didn’t want to paint.
After removing the sanding dust with a tack cloth, we brushed on the paint. We applied three coats to ensure complete coverage.
The two-toned paint treatment is an unexpected addition to the table. The new yellow-and-white color scheme ties in perfectly with the room.
