Who says bulletin boards have to be boring? With a little fabric, you can transform an ordinary wall organization system into a stylish piece of art!
Simple Supplies. The secret to building these bulletin boards is to start with an inexpensive sheet good known as “Homasote.” Once you cut panels of the material, you’ll wrap them in your favorite fabric.
Before you get started, you’ll need to plan the arrangement of the bulletin boards. To simplify the process, cut out pieces of paper and tape them to the wall. That will help you determine the board sizes and the configuration that will look best.
Use a jigsaw to cut the Homasote panels to your desired shapes and sizes. You can sand any imperfections smooth after cutting if needed.
Trim the fabric so it will wrap around each panel. Pull it tightly around the edges, and staple it in place on the back of the panel.
The boards are great for rooms where you’d like to post reminders, such as in an office or a kitchen. They’re also the perfect place to display a rotating arrangement of your favorite photos.
