When you incorporate this fun chalkboard menu board into your party decor, your guests are sure to take notice. Use the board to write out the menu or any other messages you’d like to share.
Multipurpose Decor. The boards are made from a pair of luan bifold doors, which you can purchase at home centers. When the party is over, you can leave them up as an everyday message board.
First, you’ll need to apply a base coat of paint on the doors. When the paint is dry, apply wide strips of painter’s tape around the outer edges of each door to create a border.
Roll chalkboard paint over the center section of the door. Use a foam roller to achieve a smooth surface without ridges.
When the chalkboard paint has set up, peel back the tape to reveal the painted border. Then set up the board, and hang a small bucket of chalk on one side so guests can get in on the fun!
