Picking the right jigsaw is important, but it’s just as important to pick the right blade for the specific task at hand. Blades are available for many materials and duties, including ceramic, metal, and various types of wood cuts.
Blade Basics. The four blades shown here are the ones that we end up using the most for our projects. Metal-cutting blades have very fine teeth, while blades for ceramics and plastics have a diamond grit on the edge. Wood blades range from fine teeth for smooth cuts to large teeth for fast cuts.
