It’s no secret that paint can give your walls a new look, but specialty paint products can give them texture, too. We used Quartz Stone Impressions by Sherwin-Williams to create an accent wall with a soft and subtle finish.
Touch of Texture. The smooth treatment features the subtle charm of troweled plaster. Click through the slides to learn how we created the look.
Start the project by applying a flat base coat of paint. Then roll on the Quartz Stone paint when the base coat feels dry and has a uniform sheen. Apply it randomly over a 5-foot-wide area. Use a small roller or brush to cut into corners and around trim.
Use a trowel to create random, curving patterns. Hold the trowel nearly parallel with the wall, and apply even pressure. Wipe off the trowel if excess paint starts to build up on it.
