A super-sized wall clock serves many purposes in your decor – and keeping time is just the start. Its size makes a big statement, and it also provides an opportunity to showcase your favorite photos.
Keeping Time. This clock features shadow boxes that allow the photos to elegantly “float” within them. The frames mark the key number spots on the clock “face” – which, in this case, is your entire wall! The remaining numbers are marked by lengths of 1” aluminum pipe, which we cut with a pipe cutter and hung on small brad nails.
Battery-operated clock kits are available with hands up to 18” long. Pick a clock movement with a self-contained housing that can be mounted directly to your wall.
Get started on the clock's frame components by trimming scrapbook paper to fit the frame’s backing. You can find this paper in a variety of patterns and colors to coordinate with your room's decor.
To give the photos the appearance of “floating” in their frames, you’ll need to add spacers. Glue wood blocks to the corners of each photo to make them stand out.
